Hradek is located in a pedestrian zone, there is no parking directly in front of the building. Hrádek is not wheelchair accessible.

Visitors get acquainted with the development of Kutná Hora from the beginning into the shape of the second most important town of the kingdom. The ground floor is dedicated to the geology of Kutná Hora ore district and to archaeological relics documenting prehistoric and early medieval settlement of the region before the foundation of Kutná Hora. Another hall is dedicated to the rapid beginnings of the town when the silver was discovered here.
The exposition on the first floor introduces Kutná Hora as an imposing royal mining town. It presents development of Hrádek, lifestyle of entrepreneur's "silver" nobility and the role of Kutná Hora in the Czech state. One hall is dedicated to an exhaustive overview of the Czech mintage struck in Kutná Hora.

The tour introduces the whole process of medieval mining, processing of raw silver and the technology of coinage. It includes a replica of a mining operation with technical equipment, the original large horse-powered mining machine, the so-called trejv, an authentic medieval mine and, since 2017, the tour has been enriched by a "mining settlement". This offers replicas of log buildings and shelters (the so-called miners' caverns), ore washing troughs, a replica of a hearth furnace, and a silver ore crushing plant.
Equipped with a helmet with a torch and a miner's coat with a hood, the so-called perkyle, you will walk through about 250 m long part of the original medieval mine.
It is possible to skip the passage through the mine and take only the exposition on the surface.
Attention:
The maximum number of persons per tour is 25. Tours are given every 30 minutes at the earliest. Children under the age of 6 are not allowed in the mine. For the safety of children, in case of doubt, the chaperone will be asked to prove the age of the child. Children between the ages of 6 and 10 are only allowed to enter when accompanied by an adult, and group visits of children from the age of 10 or from the 4th grade of elementary school only with pedagogical supervision. Entry into the mine is not recommended for persons suffering from claustrophobia, epilepsy and poor health and is prohibited for women in advanced stages of pregnancy. Persons under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, in heavily soiled clothing, with dogs and other animals are prohibited from entering the museum.
It is recommended to book a tour in advance, preferably using the on-line booking system, or by email, telephone (do not send SMS), fax or in writing. In the order, please indicate the name of the client, email, phone number, desired date, number of people and language of interpretation. Without this information your reservation cannot be processed!

Reduced admission is provided for:

- Senior pas card holders – 5% discount for seniors 55-65 years of age on full admission to all exhibitions
- Rodinný pas card holders – 10% discount for children on reduced admission to all exhibitions
- a second and another teacher accompanying a group of pupils or students
- 20,- CZK for organized groups of pupils of all schools and educational institutions located in the territory of the Central Bohemian Region to all expositions except the medieval mine, teachers free of charge
